About Me

The Know It All Mom is now accepting creative non-fiction and personal essays for publication. Please visit the SUBMISSIONS page for details

The Know It All Mom…that’s me! I’m a happily married, single-parent for six days each week (the single parent thing, that is), while my darling husband travels throughout western Canada to keep me in red high heels; a work-at-home-part-time/work-outside-the-home-part-time, independent, communications consultant, who just wrapped up a long, intense contract as the Senior Administrator of a private post-secondary insitution; a struggling, wanna-be, freelance writer; a (sometimes lazy) yoga enthusiast; and (big breath), an inconsistent, wayward, but well-intentioned blogger. I have one child, a busy, growing, fourteen-year-old daughter, my very own Little Miss Know It All. She has graciously, reluctantly given me her permission to blog about my life, and therefore hers, for all the world to see.

You won’t find revelations about the beauty of being a new mom here, nor will you find my ramblings about which strollers I like the best and which disposable diapers are the most eco-friendly. Been there, done that. Rather, this blog is for all of you parents out there who, like me, are currently parenting teen-agers, bracing through the adolescent years while chasing our own dreams.

Before you read on, there’s something I must confess: I don’t actually know it all. However, I do know a few things, and I’m learning some more as I go. My hope is that with the help of your comments and feedback we can figure out the rest together, or at the very least share some experiences along the way.

Now that my secret is out of the bag, click http://theknowitallmom.com/posts/ to enter my world.
