The Know It All Mom…that’s me! My name is Christie and I am a happily married, single-parent for 5 days each week (5 days of the single parent thing, that is), while my darling husband travels for work to keep me in red high heels. I am, in no particular order: A shoe addict; a work-from-home, part-time, independent, communications consultant; a struggling, wanna-be, freelance writer who is afraid to submit for fear of rejection; a yoga enthusiast; and (big breath), an inconsistent, wayward, but well-intentioned blogger. I have one child, a very busy, teen-aged daughter, my very own Little Miss Know It All. When I started this blog it was all about her: Me as her mother, my thoughts and questions and insecurities on parenting as she approached adolescence, and all of the choices and discoveries and uncertainties that come with this gig. Now, not so much…
This was never the place to find revelations about the beauty of being a new mom, nor ramblings about which strollers I liked the best nor which disposable diapers the most eco-friendly. This blog was intended to reach out to all of you parents out there who, like me, were parenting a pre-teen cum teen-ager, bracing through the adolescent years while somehow chasing your own dreams. But here’s the thing: Now that she’s fifteen, I don’t really feel like parenting is the only thing I want to talk about. And furthermore, to be fair, her life is not mine to share with anyone who cares to read about it. It’s hers. Period.
Therefore, over the next little while I will be adding new sections of content that reflect where I am, in my life, today. To be sure, some of this may be about me as a parent, but more importantly, it will just me about ME. But before you read on, there’s something I must confess: I don’t actually know it all. I never have. Sure, I do know a few things, and I’m learning some more as I go, but my hope now is the same as it always was, that with the help of your comments and feedback we can figure out the rest together, or at the very least share some experiences along the way.
Now that my secret is out of the bag, click http://theknowitallmom.com/posts/ to enter my world.

Thanks so much for this informative post. I had heard about this campaign and I am planning to host a “knitting night” to make some baby hats for this cause.
I’m visiting from FMIC. Have a great day!
